I grew up just outside Dallas, yet I have never been to the Texas state fair. Now, I definitely have to go! Rides, happy people, prizes, music, and above all, amazing food.
Also, Bad Company was performing, and that in itself was worth the trek up to Pomona. I'll never forget their 2006 live album Merchants of Cool playing non-stop in one of the many minivans we had growing up. I know the songs by heart, and even though I didn't get a press pass to legitimately shoot the concert it was still cool to finally be part of their Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy!
