After photographing over 50 music festivals I have noticed some fun themes. Sometimes themes such as Festie Kids or Dirt Naps end up as collections of photographs that play on one of these topics. Other galleries such as Tea Alchemy or Lucidity's Opening Ceremony tell simple stories of one particular moment or happening at a festival. These smaller stories can be powerful even though they may occur far from the main stage. And other galleries such as Danny Goldberg's Gong Sanctuary or Trash Pirates tell more in-depth stories that I've intentionally photographed to document a specific aspect of festival life. Whichever way these images have ended up in this section of my website it means they attempt to take a deeper dive into festival culture than that of a surface-level photograph. Telling stories such as these has become one of my main passions in photography!
